YEAR 7 SCIENCE - BC

THIS WEEK WE ARE STUDYING CELLS, AND IN PARTICULAR WHAT CELLS BECOME - TISSUES, ORGANS AND SYSTEMS, AND THE PROCESS BY WHICH TISSUES COME ABOUT - CELL DIVISION.

HOMEWORK FOR THIS WEEK WILL BE TO DO THE BADGER TASK FOUND ON THE SCHOOL SERVER - IT CANNOT BE ACCESSED FROM HOME!!! THE LOCATION IS public folder --> Mr Nolan Science --> Y7 --> Badger Microscopes. YOU CAN THEN CHOOSE A 3-5 OR 5-7 TASK. REMEMBER THE POINTS ABOUT SETTING UP A SLIDE WERE DONE IN CLASS!

TEST DATE FOR CELLS UNIT - 26TH OCTOBER. NEXT WEEKS HOMEWORK WILL BE REVISION.

I don't understand what exactly we have to do. Do we have to write what we saw and how we saw it? Also do we stick in the sheet?

Hi Alice,

All you need to do is draw and label the cells you saw, and explain how you used the microscope.

You have already got the points for making a slide and finding the cell. I hope that helps!

For our revision on cells do we do the yellow boxes in our books and also i'm not to sure about cell division! i'll have a look in our book.

Hi Megna and Ciara,

I'll answer both your questions!

1st - For revision, you can do the yellow question boxes. They are quite a useful way to learn.

2nd- You missed the lesson on flower parts on P 16/17. You can get the diagrams from the book.
